New Delhi: A very sad news has come out from the Indian cricket world. Former international umpire V. Vikram Raju, who witnessed one of the most exciting and historic matches in cricket history, passed away on Sunday. He was 92 years old. Karnataka State Cricket Association has expressed deep condolences on his demise. The association said in its statement that Vikram Raju served the game of cricket with complete honesty for many decades.
The historic decision that changed history
Vikram Raju’s name is forever recorded in the pages of cricket history. He mainly received M.A. from Chennai in the year 1986. Chidambaram Stadium is remembered for the historic test match played between India and Australia. This match was only the second ‘tied test’ in cricket history. Earlier in the year 1960, the first tied test was played between Australia and West Indies in Brisbane.
