Samajwadi Party is increasing focus on Western Uttar Pradesh before the 2027 UP Assembly elections. Akhilesh Yadav will hold ‘Samanta Bhaichara Rally’ in Dadri on March 29, which is being considered as the beginning of the party’s election campaign.
UP News: Keeping in view the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party has intensified its election preparations. The party leadership is now paying special attention to those areas where it did not get the expected success in the last elections. Under this strategy, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will address the ‘Socialist Equality Brotherhood Rally’ in Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar on March 29. This rally is being seen as the formal beginning of the party’s election campaign.
Samajwadi Party believes that it will not be easy to return to power without creating a strong political base in Western Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, the party has now become active in strengthening the social equation in this area and creating new vote banks. The Dadri rally is being considered a part of this strategy, through which the party will try to give a big message.
Attempt to create a new social equation in Western UP
This time Samajwadi Party is working on a new strategy to strengthen its social equation in Western Uttar Pradesh. The focus of the party is on uniting the PDA i.e. backward, Dalit and minority classes. Along with this, efforts are also being made to bring voters from Jat and Gurjar community along with them.
Political analysts believe that the influence of Jat and Gurjar voters is very high in Western UP. Apart from this, Dalit and minority communities are also present in large numbers. This time, Samajwadi Party is moving ahead with the strategy of bringing all these sections on one platform so that a strong political base can be created in the elections.
The rally to be held in Dadri is being considered an important step towards strengthening this social equation. Party leaders believe that through this rally new political energy will be generated in Western UP and the organization will also be strengthened.
Dadri rally is being seen as a show of strength
Samajwadi Party’s ‘Samanta Bhaichara Rally’ to be held in Dadri is not only being seen as a political meeting but also as a show of strength. The party organization is making full preparations to make this program a success.
Senior leaders and workers of the party are continuously holding meetings and public relations campaigns to get a large number of people to participate in the rally. The objective is that a large number of supporters from different districts of Western Uttar Pradesh should reach Dadri and make the rally a success.
SP got limited success in last elections
Samajwadi Party formed the government with full majority in Uttar Pradesh in 2012. At that time the party had shown a strong hold in the politics of the state. But after this, the party could not return to power in the 2017 and 2022 assembly elections.
In the 2022 assembly elections, Samajwadi Party had won only 111 seats out of total 403 seats. Although at that time the party had formed an alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal, yet the expected success could not be achieved in Western Uttar Pradesh.
This is the reason why Samajwadi Party is now re-planning its political strategy in Western UP. The party leadership believes that if strong support is achieved in this area, better results can be achieved in the upcoming elections.
BJP’s strong hold in Western UP
At present, Bharatiya Janata Party is considered to have a strong political hold in Western Uttar Pradesh. BJP had won all three assembly seats of Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Noida, Dadri and Jewar.
Similarly, BJP had got huge success in districts like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshahr and Baghpat. The strong organization and vote bank of BJP in these areas remains a big challenge for the Samajwadi Party.
The situation became more complicated when Rashtriya Lok Dal formed an alliance with BJP. Due to this, the equations in the politics of Western UP have changed and new challenges have arisen before the Samajwadi Party.
Special responsibility given to the organization
To make the Dadri rally successful, Samajwadi Party has assigned special responsibility to the leaders and officials of many districts. Apart from Gautam Buddha Nagar, leaders of Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat and Hapur districts have been instructed to play an active role in the preparations for the rally.
The party has asked all the office bearers to increase public relations in their respective areas and motivate more and more people to participate in the rally. The goal of the organization is to ensure participation of a large number of people through this program.
