National People’s Power (NPP) MP Harini Amarasuriya has been sworn-in as the new Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
She was sworn-in before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
Accordingly, she is the third female Prime Minister in the history of Sri Lanka.
Dissanayake was elected president in the election held on Saturday.
