Sri Lanka has not selected all-rounder Dunith Vellalage in the team for the T20 series. A 16-member team has been announced for this T20 series.

Sri Lanka's first match against New Zealand will be played on December 28 at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Whereas the second T20 match will be played on December 30 at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The third and last match of this series will be played on January 2 at Saxton Oval, Nelson.

The list of 16-member team has been released for this series under the captaincy of Charish Aslanka. In which there is a good mix of fast bowlers with spin. The Sri Lankan team that was there earlier is the same team for this series also. Vaas Dunith Vellalage is not included.
