SL vs WI: Sri Lanka will now host bilateral matches against West Indies, know the complete schedule

Dambulla: White-ball bilateral matches are scheduled to be held between Sri Lanka and West Indies in October. In which it has now become clear that this time Sri Lanka will host the upcoming series between Sri Lanka and West Indies. Along with this, the schedules of Sri Lanka and West Indies have also been revealed.

According to the ICC, Sri Lanka will host the West Indies for white-ball bilateral matches in October, comprising a three-match T20I and ODI series. This time Sri Lanka is in its best form, which it would like to maintain in the future.

Sri Lanka in best form

Sri Lanka will be looking to take confidence from their excellent performances in recent months, which included an ODI series win over India, a Test match win against England at the Oval and a stellar Test series performance against New Zealand on home soil.

Although the men in maroon faced disappointment in Tests, they recently defeated South Africa 3-0 in a T20I contest on home soil. The T20I series between Sri Lanka and West Indies will begin on October 13. The second and third matches of the series will be held on October 15 and 17 respectively. All the matches of the T20I series will be held in Dambulla.

One day schedule

Meanwhile, the ODI series will start from October 20. The second and third matches of the series will be held on 23 and 26 October. All 50 over matches will be played in Kandy. In the ODI field, both the teams are tied, with West Indies winning 31 matches and Sri Lanka winning 30. Sri Lanka is almost ahead in T20, where Sri Lanka has won 8 matches and West Indies has won 7 matches.

Sri Lanka's performance

Earlier, Sri Lanka had performed brilliantly against India in the two-match series, winning the series 2-0 against Rohit Sharma's Men in Blue. This was the first time in the last 27 years that Sri Lanka had won an ODI series over India.

The island nation also competed in a three-match T20 series against India. Sri Lanka performed poorly there and lost the series against India 3–0.
