Sri Lanka team announced for ODI series against Pakistan, first match to be held on 23rd July

Delhi: Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday announced a 15-member women’s team for the ODI series against Pakistan. The three-match series between the two teams will start on July 23. Star wicketkeeper batsman Anushka Sanjeevani is returning to the Sri Lankan team after a year. Vishmi Gunaratne, who has recovered from injury, has also returned for the ODI series.

Anushka Sanjivani returned after a year

Wicketkeeper batsman Anushka Sanjeevani last played for Sri Lanka during the ODI World Cup in the year 2025. After this, he has been called back to the team after a year. To bring him into the team, Kaushani Nuthayangana has been dropped. Apart from this, Vishmi Gunaratne, who could not play in the ODI series against Bangladesh in April due to injury, has also returned fully fit.

Rashmika Sewandi got a chance for the first time

Keeping the future in mind, the selectors have also included a new face in the team. Young fast bowler Rashmika Sewandi has got a chance in the team for the first time, she has been included in place of Malki Madara.
