Srikanth demands to give chance to Vaibhav Suryavanshi in Team India

Indian cricket once again seems to be getting a “child prodigy”. Just 14 year old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has caught the attention of the entire cricket world with his explosive performance.

Sports News: Former Indian captain and veteran selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth has recommended BCCI to include young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the senior team as soon as possible. Comparing Vaibhav with the great Sachin Tendulkar, Srikkanth said that just as Sachin made his mark in international cricket at the age of just 16, Vaibhav also has extraordinary talent, patience and technique. He also said that Vaibhav has proved that he has an amazing ability to adjust to high level cricket by playing with ease against older players.

Srikanth’s big recommendation

Krishnamachari Srikkanth believes that Vaibhav Suryavanshi shows the same extraordinary talent which was once seen in Sachin Tendulkar when he was a teenager. Srikanth said that just as Sachin surprised the world by entering international cricket at the age of just 16, similarly Vaibhav is also playing cricket far beyond his age.

In his statement, Srikanth clearly said that Vaibhav has proved that he can play comfortably even against big and experienced bowlers. According to him, the mixture of technique, patience and confidence seen in Vaibhav’s batting makes him special.

Historic innings in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Vaibhav Suryavanshi recently gave such a performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which surprised everyone from the selectors to the veteran players. He played a stormy inning of 190 runs in just 84 balls in a match, which included 15 skyscraper sixes. The special thing was that Vaibhav completed his century in just 36 balls and became the youngest batsman to score a century in List A cricket.

This innings was not only historic in terms of statistics, but it also showcased his fearless thinking and aggressive batting. The bowlers looked completely helpless and the audience got a glimpse of a future superstar.

Srikanth’s reply to critics

During the discussion on his YouTube channel, Srikanth also responded to the critics who say that Vaibhav still needs more experience. He said that where the runs are being scored is not as important as whether the player is scoring runs consistently. Srikanth clearly said, “People say that he is playing against weak teams, but the truth is that this boy is dominating the bowlers in every match. Be it Under-19 cricket, domestic tournaments or the IPL stage – Vaibhav is proving himself everywhere.”

Srikkanth suggested to BCCI that priority should be given to current form and ability and not age in selection. He admitted that there may be less time for the upcoming T20 World Cup, but if Vaibhav is included in the environment of the senior team from now on, he can adapt quickly. He believes that in white ball cricket, Vaibhav can be given the same freedom and opportunity which Sachin Tendulkar got in the initial phase.
