Standup comedian Ali Asgar will now make people laugh by wearing a saree in this show.

Mumbai. Sony SAB's 'Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Generation Naye Kisse' is winning hearts with its relatable story and stellar cast. The show beautifully brings alive the daily struggles and joys of the middle-class Wagle family. Adding to the excitement, the show is welcoming powerful artist Ali Asghar, who has joined the show especially for the New Year sequence. The addition of Ali Asghar, known for his excellent comic timing and versatility, to the cast promises to bring an extra dose of fun and twists to Sai Darshan Society.

Ali will be seen playing the role of Harish Khanna, the famous stand-up comedian and childhood friend of Rajesh Wagle (Sumit Raghavan). Dakku (Deepak Pareek) enthusiastically invites Harish to perform at the society's New Year party. While everyone is thrilled, Rajesh does not seem that excited about this news. The story gets complicated when Harish's comedy takes a strange turn, with his roasting act crossing a line and hurting the society members. What follows is a series of heart-touching moments and her comeback as a Gujarati woman. This leads to comic chaos and an unexpected resolution that will make the audience laugh and think.

Will Harish be able to reform himself?

Ali Asgar, who plays the role of Harish Khanna, said, “I am thrilled to be a part of ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’. It is a cult classic and deeply loved by fans, beautifully portraying relatable stories and heart-touching emotions. My character Harish Khanna is a stand-up comedian, and I took inspiration from my own experiences in the field, which made it even more exciting to bring him to life. Bhumika combines the mix of light-hearted moments, chaos and emotions during the New Year celebrations. It was truly a pleasure to work with such a talented cast, and I can't wait for audiences to enjoy this entertaining episode.”

Sumit Raghavan, who plays the role of Rajesh Wagle, said, “Ali Asgar is a great comedian, people have been showering their love on him for many years. His entry into the show as Rajesh's childhood friend brings a new twist to the show. Ali's excellent comic timing makes his entry truly memorable. The friendship between Rajesh and Harish is full of nostalgia and also has a bit of drama in it, which the audience will love.”
