Patna. Bihar government has launched a new initiative for persons with disabilities, which aims to advance them in the field of self-employment and entrepreneurship. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Yojana has been started, under which disabled people will get loans and grants up to Rs 10 lakh. This scheme can prove to be an important step towards making them self-reliant and creating employment in the state.

The main objective of Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Yojana is to encourage disabled persons for entrepreneurship. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries will get a loan or grant of up to Rs 10 lakh to set up their industries, which they can use as self-employment. With this, disabled people will be able to start their own business and become economically empowered in the state.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “This is an important step towards creating employment and setting up new industries in the state. With this scheme, the disabled will not only get financial assistance, but will also be able to realize their dreams.”
Scheme operation and application process
This scheme will be operated by the Industries Department of Bihar, and beneficiaries can apply for it online. To make the application process simple and transparent, the Government of Bihar has created a special portal from where interested beneficiaries can submit their applications online.
Through the portal, persons with disabilities can apply for loan or grant and avail the benefits of the scheme on the basis of eligibility. Approved beneficiaries will receive a loan or grant up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh towards the cost of each project.
