Morning routine according to Ayurveda

Ayurveda prescribes some rules and disciplines regarding morning routine which help in keeping our health and lifestyle balanced. These rules fill the body, mind and soul with freshness and energy. According to Ayurveda, the morning should be started with a special routine that forms the basis of a healthy lifestyle for the whole day.

1. wake up in brahma muhurta According to Ayurveda, waking up in the morning in Brahmamuhurta (about 45 minutes before sunrise) is very beneficial for the health of the body. This time is approximately between 4:30 to 5:30. At this time, there is maximum oxygen in the atmosphere, which is beneficial for the body and brain.
2. Gargle with basil or fresh water : The first thing that is done after waking up in the morning is to clean the mouth. Rinsing with lukewarm water and gargling with fresh water helps clean the mouth and flush out toxins.
3. eye and mouth cleaning : Triphala or rose water can be used to clean the eyes. This maintains eyesight and relieves fatigue.
4. Oil Abhyanga (Oil Massage) : There is a tradition of massaging the entire body with sesame oil. It strengthens the body organs, maintains moisture in the skin and improves blood circulation. One should take bath after massage.
5. exercise and yoga :Light exercise and yoga in the morning are considered extremely beneficial for the body. By doing Yogasana and Pranayama, energy circulates in the body and mental stress is removed. This increases the balance and flexibility of the body.j
6. meditation and prayer : Meditation after yoga increases mental peace and concentration. Praying brings mental peace and positivity. It helps in strengthening the soul.
7. Balanced and digestible breakfast: In Ayurveda, morning breakfast should be light, refreshing and full of nutrients. This may include fresh fruits, dry fruits, oats, moong dal soup etc. According to Ayurveda, freshness and natural nutrition should be kept in mind while eating in the morning, which will maintain energy throughout the day.

Along with this, some other suggestions have also been given. This involves welcoming the sun. The process of saluting the first ray of the Sun is known as “Surya Namaskar” in Ayurveda which is a very good yoga asana. Along with this, it is very important to keep your body clean. According to Ayurveda, drinking a glass of lukewarm water at the beginning of the day flushes out toxins from the body and activates digestion.
