State government, Telugu Film industry join hands for industry growth-Read
Both the State Government and film personalities have decided to take Telugu Film industry to international level.

Hyderabad: Dismissing the reports of standoff between State government and Tollywood, Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju said after a few incidents, campaigns were conducted that there was a gap between the industry and the government.
During the meeting with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Thursday several issues were discussed. The State government sought the industry’s cooperation in a few aspects and likewise the industry personalities also shared their thoughts and discussed the issues faced by the industry, he said.
Tollywood had gained national reputation and importance. Both the State Government and film personalities have decided to take Telugu Film industry to international level, he said.
The Chief Minister wanted recommendations and suggestions on facilitating Hollywood film shootings in Hyderabad. The State Government was planning to develop Hyderabad as international film hub, Dil Raju said.
“After compiling a report on the suggestions from the film personalities, the same will be submitted to the government in 15 days,” Dil Raju said.
On the benefit show and ticket prices hikes for Sankranti season, he said annually 200 movies release in the industry. Benefit shows and ticket prices hikes was not an issue at all, the Chief Minister had entrusted a much bigger task for us and had to focus on such matters, he added.
During the meeting, the government also sought film industry participation in social awareness programmes. Film heroes would be actively participating in all the programmes and initiatives aimed at curbing drug menace and other social causes, he said adding that the industry requirements were also discussed with the government at length.
