State level open trials started under Khelo Jharkhand competition

Ranchi, September 25 (HS). Trials have started for the state level Khelo Jharkhand competition 2024-25. From today, more than 600 participating children will try their luck for a total of 21 sports at various centers in Ranchi. Open trials started on Wednesday with seven sports.

In the trial competition, trials were held among boys and girls for badminton (U-14,17,19), table tennis (U-14,17), sepak takraw (U-17,19), tennis (U-17,19), shooting (U-14,17,19), mallakhamb (U-14,17,19), and fencing (U-17,19). Open trials were organised at Ranchi's Khelgaon, BSP High School (Dhurva) and Birsa Munda Football Stadium Morabadi.

The sports for which open trials are to be held on Thursday include handball (U-14,17,19), volleyball (U-17,19 girls category), gymnastics (U-14,17,19), karate (U-14,17,19), swimming (U-14,17,19), boxing (U-14 boys, 17,19 boys/girls category). The boys and girls participating in the open trials have been congratulated by the state government's School Education and Literacy Department Minister Baidyanath Ram, Education Secretary Umashankar Singh, State Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan, State Program Officer Shri Abhishek Jha and other officials of the Sports Cell.

The state level Khelo Jharkhand competition 2024-25 will start on October 4. Open trials have started now to participate in this competition. The competition will be organized in Ranchi. The competition will run till November 5.
