State-of-the-art library inaugurated in Lucknow Rajya Kar Bhawan, advocates get a new center of knowledge
Lucknow. The grand inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed state-of-the-art library was organized by the Sales Tax Bar Association on the fourth floor of the State Tax Building located at Mirabai Marg in the capital. Senior and respected advocate Banwari Lal Dixit inaugurated the library by cutting the ribbon. A large number of tax lawyers, bar officers and senior members were present on this occasion.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the speakers said that the biggest asset of an advocate is his knowledge and study. A rich library plays an important role in keeping abreast of the constant changes in law, latest judicial decisions and tax related provisions. He said that this library will make an important contribution in enhancing the knowledge of advocates as well as in research and effective advocacy.
Sales Tax Bar Association General Secretary Ramesh Srivastava said that the full credit for making this modern library ready and operational in a short time goes to Advocate Arvinder Singh Anand, Chairman of the Library Committee. He said that due to their tireless hard work and dedication, this important facility has been available to the advocates.
Presiding over the program, Bar Association President Rajendra Tripathi said that books are the true guides of any advocate. This library will prove beneficial for young and senior lawyers alike for updated information about changing legal provisions and tax system. He expressed his gratitude to all the guests, senior advocates and members on this occasion.
At the conclusion of the program, Media Committee member Advocate Mohammad Salim said that a rich collection of latest books, bare acts and important legal journals related to tax, GST and law has been made available in the library. He said that providing better professional facilities to the advocates is the priority of the Bar Association and this library is an important and historic step taken in that direction. This will give new strength to the research capacity, legal knowledge and efficiency of tax lawyers.
