State-of-the-art Shri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Center will be built on Kartarpur Road, Honorable Government took possession of 10.50 acres of land.
Chandigarh: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema today said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken a decisive step towards the establishment of ‘Shri Guru Ravidas Bani Adhyayan Kendra’ by taking possession of 10.50 acres of land in village Naugajja and Faridpur located on Kartarpur Road. He said that this step shows the government’s commitment to honor the legacy of Guru Ravidas ji.
Land acquisition process completed
The entire process of taking possession was completed in the presence of Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Balkar Singh, Punjab Agricultural Development Bank Chairman Pawan Tinu, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal and representatives of Dera Sachkhand Ballan.
Construction of a state-of-the-art study centre. Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “It is a matter of great pleasure that the Punjab Government has acquired possession of 10.50 acres of land for the construction of a state-of-the-art Sri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Centre. This land will now be used to create a world-class institution dedicated to the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji.”
Rs 55 lakh spent on shifting power lines
He further declared, "The Punjab government will bear the cost of Rs 55 lakh to shift the high-tension power cables from this place so that the construction work can proceed smoothly without any delay."Registry completed, now the tender process will start soon. The Finance Minister said, “The registration of the land has already been done and now with the possession, this project has entered the important phase of implementation.
The design and layout plan of this center was Dera Sach.
The section is being prepared by experts in consultation with representatives of Ballan. Tenders will be floated soon so that the construction work can start immediately. Reiterating the resolve of the Bhagwant Mann government to spread the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji worldwide, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Shri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Center will play an important role in spreading the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji across the world and preparing scholars who will spread his message. “The Punjab government is determined to preserve and propagate the spiritual and social legacy of Guru Ji.”
Year long programs on 650th Prakash Parv
He also informed that the year-long programs related to the 650th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj have already been announced by the Punjab Government. He said, “Large scale programs will be organized across the state to honor the legacy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji and encourage the communal harmony shown by Guru Ji.”

The representatives of Dera Sachkhand Ballan thanked the Punjab Government for completing this project in a timely manner and honestly and expeditiously fulfilling the long standing demand of the Sangats.
Blessings of Dera chief: Later, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema along with MLA Balkar Singh, Chairman Pawan Tinu, senior AAP leader Nitin Kohli and Rajvinder Kaur Thiada bowed down at Dera Sachkhand Ballan and took the blessings of Dera chief Sant Niranjan Das ji.
