Desk: WhatsApp is working on a new design to improve the experience of its users. According to reports, now the way of viewing status in the app can change completely. This new change focuses on showing status updates directly in the Chats tab so that users will not need to change tabs again and again.

Under this new feature, a separate section can be added above the Chats screen where the latest status updates of your contacts will be visible. Users will be able to easily see these updates by pulling down the chat list. Its purpose is that users do not need to go to a separate tab to see updates and everything can be found in one place.

This new design is currently in the testing phase. It has been seen in some builds on iOS through TestFlight, while its development is underway for Android as well. However, this feature is not yet available to common users or beta testers.

According to media reports, WhatsApp has also planned to add a new section related to Status in the navigation bar. Here you can see the updates of those people with whom you interact the most. At the same time, option to view muted status can also be given separately.

After this update, users will be able to post their status directly from the Chats tab. This means that now both chatting and status update can be done easily from the same screen, which will make using the app even simpler. At present this feature is not completely ready and the company has not given any official information regarding its launch date.
