Stay home if you want to wear a mask! Shabana’s befitting reply to Babita Chauhan’s controversial statement

Uttar Pradesh State Women Commission Chairperson Babita Chauhan has given a very controversial statement on Muslim women wearing burqa and niqab. He clearly said that if women have to wear niqab, then they should stay at home because they are more unsafe inside the house than outside. Strong Yellow Sena President Shabana Khandelwal has given a strong reply to his statement.

Let us tell you that during a public hearing in Agra, Babita Chauhan said that if women have to remain so busy, then they should stay at home. He believes that women are more unsafe inside the house, whereas outside in the society they are much safer.

Babita Chauhan argued that the niqab is removed to get passport, voter card, Ayushman card and Aadhar card made, then what is the point of hiding it from the common people? This causes irritation in their mind. According to him, if someone is hiding his identity, then there is definitely something wrong in his mind somewhere. She described niqab and burqa as ‘useless things’ and said that there is no threat to women outside the society.

Strong Yellow Sena President’s response to Babita Chauhan’s statement

Strong Yellow Sena President Shabana Khandelwal gave a sharp reaction to this statement in a special conversation with UP UK Live. He said that due to the statement given by our sister Babita Chauhan, people of every caste should be equal, there should be fairness. Whether a woman is wearing a niqab, a veil or a hijab, we should respect her. This is our Indian culture. If a woman is wearing hijab, niqab or veil, then we have no right to expose her to give benefits of any scheme.

I don’t think our government supports unmasking either. We have also seen our Hindu sisters wearing the veil even with their mother-in-law. Whether a woman is wearing hijab or niqab, she has every right to move forward.
