At the launch, Fadnavis was seen driving the Mercedes-AMG G63, one of the fastest SUVs in production. At this time, the Chief Minister and both the Deputy Chief Ministers were traveling in the same train. Known for its combination of extreme luxury and unparalleled performance, the G63 glides effortlessly on this road, built for speed, stability and confidence. Another exciting thing about this car is that it was registered on April 29, 2026, which means it was only 2 days old at the time of inauguration.

This SUV is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 engine, which produces 585 HP of power and 850 Nm of torque. It also has a 48 volt mild hybrid system. This SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Its top speed is 240 km/h. The SUV is priced at around Rs 3.60 crore (ex-showroom). It is one of the most expensive and premium cars in the country.

Big relief for motorists due to missing link

On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, the much awaited Missing Link project was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On this occasion Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar also inaugurated this missing link. This project has been set up by providing funds of around Rs 6695 crore. Due to this missing link, the distance will be reduced by 6 km and the passengers will also save 30 minutes. The new link will reduce the Mumbai-Pune distance by nearly 6 km. By getting a straight and easy route, the time of the passengers will be saved by about 30 minutes. It will also save fuel. 23.5 to 23.75 meter long tunnels have been made in this project. It has joined the list of largest tunnels in Asia. There is talk that this project will be registered in the Guinness World Records.
