Stock market fell after US-Iran talks failed, Sensex fell 703 points, Nifty below 23900.

Mumbai13 april. The failure of the two-week ceasefire talks in Islamabad between the US and Iran had an adverse impact on the global market and the price of crude oil reached above $ 100 per barrel. The Indian stock market could not remain untouched by this global tension and on Monday, the first day of the trading week, both the benchmark indices closed with a big fall. While BSE Sensex fell by 703 points, NSE Nifty fell below 23,900 by 208 points.

The 30-share sensitive index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) closed at 76,847.57 points, falling 702.68 points or 0.91 percent. At one point during trading, it fell 1,681.93 points to 75,868.32 points. But as the day progressed, there was a considerable recovery in it. Among Sensex related companies, shares of 27 remained in the red while shares of three remained strong.

At the same time, Nifty, the standard index based on 50 shares of National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed at 23,842.65 points with a decline of 207.95 points or 0.86 percent. Among Nifty related companies, shares of 12 were in profit while 38 were in decline. In the broader market, BSE Midcap Select index declined 0.82 percent and Smallcap index declined 0.33 percent.

Maruti’s stock is highest 4.61 percent weak

Among Sensex group companies, Maruti’s stock weakened the most by 4.61 percent. InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services and HDFC Bank were also major losers. On the other hand, the gaining stocks include ICICI Bank, NTPC and Axis Bank.

FII has 672.09 bought shares worth crores of rupees

However, according to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 672.09 crore on Friday after continuous selling. At the same time, global oil standard Brent crude rose by 7.73 percent to reach $ 102.6 per barrel.
