Stock Market Holidays in July 2026: Indian stock markets will remain closed for a total of eight days in July. These days, trading in equity, equity derivatives, currency derivatives and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments will remain closed on National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE.

List of weekly holidays of NSE and BSE for July 2026

The Indian stock market will remain closed on four Saturdays and four Sundays in July, as these are regular weekly market holidays across the country. Therefore, BSE and NSE will remain closed on these dates next month. July 4, July 5, July 11, July 12, July 18, July 19, July 25 and July 26.

Know whether NSE and BSE will remain closed in July 2026

According to the holidays calendar released by the National Stock Exchange, there are no special trading holidays for the Indian stock exchanges (NSE and BSE) in July apart from the regular weekend holidays. Therefore, the markets will function normally on all the remaining working days of the month.
Like July, there are no trading holidays in August except weekends.

However, according to the calendar, the market will remain closed on several occasions throughout the year due to national and religious festivals.
  • Ganesh Chaturthi is on 14th September.
  • Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is on 2nd October.
  • Dussehra is on 20th October.
  • Diwali-Balipratipada is on 10th November.
  • Prakash Gurparva is Shri Guru Nanak Dev on 24th November.
  • Christmas is on 25th December.
There will be no trading holidays except weekends in July and August.

Bank holidays in July 2026

Unlike stock market holidays, banks will celebrate several holidays in different cities of India in July 2026. According to the bank holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks in India will remain closed for a total of 12 days in July 2026, which includes weekends and festivals. Although the functioning of bank branches will be affected these days, online banking services will continue to run smoothly.

Banks will remain closed on these regular weekly holidays:
Sunday: 5, 12, 19 and 26 July
Second Saturday: July 11
Fourth Saturday: July 25
