Share Market: Double hit of holidays next week, share market will remain closed on 31 March and 3 April
Share Market Holiday List: If you trade in the stock market then this news is for you only. Actually, the coming week is going to be short for trading investors. Actually, the stock markets will remain closed on Tuesday 31st March on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti and on Friday 3rd April on the occasion of Good Friday. That is to say, there will be trading only on three days in the next week – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Apart from Tuesday, Friday, the market will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday. Let us tell you that Saturday and Sunday are weekly holidays.
Talking about the commodity market, the schedule of Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) will be slightly different. On the day of Mahavir Jayanti, MCX session will be closed from 9 am to 5 pm but trading will resume from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. MCX will remain completely closed on Good Friday, that is, there will be no trading in both morning and evening sessions.
Stock market holidays in April and May
The next holiday after Good Friday i.e. 3rd April will be on 14th April on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti. After this, there will be no trading in the market on Maharashtra Day on 1st May and Bakrid on 28th May. Let us tell you that this week also trading took place only on four trading days. There was no trading on Dalal Street on Thursday due to Ram Navami. Apart from this, markets remained closed on Saturday and Sunday due to weekly holidays.
List from June to December
There will be a holiday in the market on the occasion of Muharram on 26th June, Ganesh Chaturthi on 14th September and Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October. After this, there will be no trading on Dussehra on 20th October, Diwali Balipratipada on 10th November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 24th November. The last holiday of the year will be Christmas Day on 25 December.
Market condition on Friday
On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 73,583.22, falling 1,690.23 points or 2.25 percent. During trading it fell 1,739.04 points to 73,534.41. NSE’s 50-share Nifty fell 486.85 points or 2.09 percent and closed at 22,819.60. In a week with fewer trading days due to holidays, BSE Sensex fell 949.74 points and Nifty fell 294.9 points.
