Stock Market Today: Boom in business amid boom in global markets… Sensex by 469 points, Nifty crosses 26,126

MumbaiSensex and Nifty started trading on an optimistic note on Monday as investor sentiment remained positive amid inflow of foreign capital and rise in global markets, BSE Sensex rose 482,7 points or 0,56 per cent to 85,412,06 in early trade and NSE Nifty rose 160,2 points or 0,61 per cent to 26,126,60,

Among the 30 companies included in the Sensex, shares of Infosys, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Trent, HCL Tech and Bharti Airtel were the biggest gainers. Only UltraTech Cement and Power Grid shares declined. In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225, China’s SSE Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng remained in the positive zone. American markets closed with gains on Friday.

International standard Brent crude rose 0.73 percent to $ 60.91 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers on Friday and bought shares worth a net Rs 1,830.89 crore. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth Rs 5,722.89 crore in the last trading session.
