Stock Market Today: Stock market’s comeback, Sensex-Nifty rise amid positive signs

Mumbai. Domestic stock markets witnessed a rise on Tuesday amid positive signals from abroad. BSE’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex opened 809.57 points higher at 78,375.73 points. However, later its momentum slowed down a bit and at the time of bringing the news, it stood at 77,893.94 points with a gain of 327.78 points or 0.42 percent. The Nifty-50 index of the National Stock Exchange also opened at 24,280.80 with a gain of 252.75 points.

Except IT and oil and gas, indices of all other sectors remained in the green. Indices of auto, finance, pharma, consumer durable products and health sectors recorded more gains. Among Sensex companies, shares of HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Indigo and UltraTech Cement were rising. Reliance Industries, Infosys, Airtel, TCS and Bajaj Finance are currently in decline.
