Stock Market Update: Today i.e. on Friday, February 27, the Sensex is trading at 81,800 with a fall of 450 points. Nifty is also down by 150 points. It is at the level of 25,350. There is selling pressure in metal and auto stocks in today’s business. There is buying in IT shares.
Mixed business for Asian markets
Japan’s Nikkei index is trading 0.19% lower at 58,641.
South Korea’s Kospi has fallen 0.92% to the level of 6,249.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index has risen 0.78% to 26,586.
China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading at 4,139, down 0.17%.
US market remained mixed on February 26
The Dow Jones rose 17 points (0.034%) to close at 49,499.
Tech-based index Nasdaq Composite fell 1.18% to close at 22,878.
The S&P 500 index fell 37 points (0.54%) to close at 6,908.
Foreign investors bought shares worth Rs 2,991 crore
- Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 3,466 crore on February 26. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 5,031 crore.
- So far in this month i.e. February, FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 895 crore. During this period, DIIs bought shares worth Rs 26,130 crore.
- In January 2026, FIIs had sold shares worth a total of Rs 41,435 crore. During this period, DIIs had bought shares worth Rs 69,220 crore.
Yesterday the Sensex closed with a slight fall
There was flat trading in the stock market yesterday i.e. on 26th February. Sensex fell 27 points and closed at 82,249. Nifty also fell by 14 points. It closed at the level of 25,497. In today’s trading, there has been a rise in the shares of pharma and government banks.
