Stocks in News Today: Aster DM Healthcare, Coal India, DOMS, PNB, NBCC and more

New Delhi: Indian indices raced higher on Monday on expectations of a potential RBI repo rate cut next month. The Sensex closed 384 points higher at a new all-time record high of 84,928.61 on Monday and the Nifty jumped 0.57 per cent to 25,939.05. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Tuesday, September 24, 2024:

Aster DM Healthcare: The company on Monday announced that it will invest Rs 220 crore in a new healthcare facility in Hyderabad with 300 beds catering to children and women’s health.

Adani Total Gas: The company’s stock price jumped 6 per cent on Monday after the company secured $375 million funding from a clutch of global lenders to fund its business expansion.

AstraZeneca Pharma India: The company received permission to import and distribute cancer medication Durvalumab from the Indian drugs regulator CDSCO.

Coal India: The company has inked a joint venture with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to set up a 2X800 MW thermal power project.

Pondy Oxides: The company is planning to raise Rs 250 crore via placement with qualified institutional buyers, CNBCTV18 reported.

Punjab National Bank: The lender reportedly agreed to raise Rs 2,500 crore via QIPs with an option to expand it to Rs 2,500 crore at a price of Rs 103.75 per share, CNBCTV18 reported.

Reliance Power: The Anil Ambani-led company’s board gave its nod to a Rs 1,524 crore fundraise via preferential share issue. The share issue has been priced at Rs 33 per share, or a 16 per cent discount from its latest share price.

NTPC: The company’s unit NTPC Green Energy may bring its Rs 10, 000 crore IPO in the first week of November 2024, according tot people familiar with the matter.

Vodafone Idea: The company’s share price was down from early highs on Monday which were seen after the telco announced a Rs 30,000 crore deal inked with telecom gear providers for 4G and 5G technology.

Oil companies: OIL and Vedanta have bid for blocks in what is considered to be the largest bid for oil blocks comprising 28 blocks spread across 1.36 lakh sq km. Meanwhile, ONGC has teamed up with Reliance-bp for a combined bid for a block in Gujarat offshore.

DOMS Industries: The stationary maker on Monday acquired a 51.77 per cent stake in baby diaper maker Uniclan Healthcare for Rs 54.88 crore. The funds will be used to repay debt and for capacity expansion.

NBCC: The company’s arm HSCC secured a Rs 1,261 crore contract for an AIIMS hospital in Darbhanga, Bihar from the Union health ministry.

SpiceJet: The company received an NCLT notice for insolvency proceedings over missed payments worth more than Rs 1.2 crore.
