New Delhi: The 30-share benchmark Sensex crossed the 85,000 milestone while the Nifty went past the 26,000 mark for the first time ever, before closing flat on Tuesday, as FMCG and banking stocks acted as top drags. The closed 14.57 points lower at 84,914.04, while the Nifty was up 1.35 points to 25,940.40. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Wednesday, September 25, 2024:

CarTrade Tech: The automobile marketplace witnessed a stake sale by Warburg Pincus-owned Highdell Investments, equalling an 8.64 per cent stake worth over Rs 375 crore, according to exchange data.

Indian Hotels Company: IHCL said had signed a 120-key SeleQtions hotel in Chennai’s East Coast Road over 30 acres.

JSW Group: The commodities giant ruled out reports that it was “withdrawing” from a proposed Rs 40,000 crore EV and battery project in Odisha and shifting it to Mumbai, said a senior company official said on Tuesday.

Metal stocks: Steel and metal majors may be affected by China’s decision to announce policy measures aimed at providing support to its economy and prop up its property market. Nalco, Tata Steel, Hindalco NMDC and Vedanta, apart from SAIL. Jindal Stainless, Jindal Steel and JSW Steel will be in focus

NBCC: The property consultancy moved the Supreme Court with an eye on the development and completion of realty major Supertech’s 17 projects that remain stalled or partially built, in a bid to provide relief to 27,000 homebuyers.

REC: The state-owned energy financier said it will raise $500 million as part of $10 billion medium term note programme.

Telecom stocks: Executives from Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea met telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday over the exclusion of WhatsApp and Telegram from the new licensing rules. The stakeholders also reportedly discussed the issue of the stress caused by AGR dues.

UJVN: The Uttarakhand-based utility shared an action plan to double power output over the next 8 years to 3,000 MW from 1,440 MW at present.
