Stone operation became the cause of death in Ballia: Uproar over woman’s death in Apoorva Hospital

24-year-old Anisha Pandey died during a kidney stone operation on Sunday at Apoorva Hospital in Jagdishpur of Ballia city, causing huge anger among her family members and villagers. After the incident, angry people reached the hospital and created a ruckus and demanded the administration to seal the hospital and take strict action against the guilty doctors.

The family members of the deceased allege that the hospital administration deposited Rs 50,000 before the operation and then the doctors performed the operation without giving any clear information. After some time, the doctors said that her condition was serious and asked for referral, but by then Anisha had died. The family accused the doctors of hiding the truth and misleading them.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and tried to control the situation, but during this time there was a scuffle and heated argument between the police and the family members. Based on the complaint of the family members, the police have registered a case of murder against the concerned doctors.

At the same time, the administration has sent the body for post-mortem and the health department team has sealed the operation theater of the hospital. However, due to other patients admitted in the hospital, the entire nursing home could not be sealed. At present, the investigation of the case is going on and the police say that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
