Stormy innings of Abhishek-Rinku: India gave target of 239 runs to New Zealand

Nagpur : Thanks to the explosive innings of Abhishek Sharma (84) and Rinku Singh (44 not out), India scored a huge score of 238 runs for seven wickets against New Zealand in the first ODI on Wednesday. Here today New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first.

India, who came to bat, lost two wickets at the start of the match at the score of 27. After this, captain Suryakumar Yadav took over the innings along with Abhishek Sharma and scored runs rapidly. There was a partnership of 99 runs between the two batsmen for the third wicket. Mitchell Santner ended this partnership by dismissing Suryakumar Yadav in the 11th over. Suryakumar Yadav scored 32 runs in 22 balls, hitting four fours and a six. In the very next over, Ish Sodhi gave the fourth blow to India by dismissing Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek Sharma played an explosive inning of 84 runs in 35 balls, hitting five fours and eight sixes.

Hardik Pandya scored 25 runs in 16 balls, hitting three fours and a six. Shivam Dubey was out after scoring nine runs and Axar Patel after scoring five runs. India scored a huge score of runs for seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rinku Singh played an unbeaten inning of 44 runs in 20 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes. Arshdeep Singh remained unbeaten after scoring six runs. Jacob Duffy and Kyle Jamieson took two wickets each for New Zealand. Christian Clarke, Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner dismissed one batsman each.
