Narrator Indresh Upadhyay has apologized for his remarks regarding Yadav community. He has said that this is an old incident when he had said this while telling a story, after which he had made this clear in all his stories. But what was said in the talk has not reached many people. Not only this, Indresh Upadhyay has also apologized for whatever hurt he has caused to the Yadav community by his comments.

The series of controversial statements by storytellers in Braj region is not showing any signs of stopping. The controversy over the statement of narrator Aniruddhacharya had not subsided yet when famous narrator Indresh Upadhyay got embroiled in a new controversy. After his alleged statement, there is deep anger in the Yadav community.

Outrage in Yadav community

It is being told that Indresh Upadhyay had made a comment in a public forum about not considering Yadav community as descendants of Lord Shri Krishna. Yadav community termed this statement as a direct attack on its religious and historical identity. In protest against this, various organizations and intellectuals of Yadav community jointly organized a press conference and registered a strong protest.

‘Yadu dynasty is clear in the scriptures’

Speakers in the press conference said that Lord Krishna himself incarnated in the Yaduvansh, this fact is clearly described in many scriptures including Bhagwat Purana, Mahabharata, Vishnu Purana. He said that this is not limited only to religious texts, but is also universally accepted in Indian culture and public mind. Representatives of Yadav community alleged that such statements are going to divide the society and hurt religious sentiments.

However, Indresh Upadhyay has apologized for his statement towards the Yadav community. It has also been clarified that some illegitimate person of Yadav had instigated him to make such a statement.
