Street Profits Tease Break Up On SmackDown: WWE 2024-25

Street Profits Tease Break Up On SmackDown: Popular WWE tag team Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, collectively called Street Profits, have teased a breakup if they fail to win the WWE Tag Team Championships on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The Street Profits have been one of the most popular tag teams in the company since coming together in 2017 on the NXT brand. After a successful stint in the developmental brand, the two were drafted to the main roster in 2019, winning tag titles within a year of their call-up.

As per the street profits tease break up on smackdown, The two have unmatched charisma and are second to none in the ring, making them one of the most popular and compelling acts in the company. Despite that, they have not won a single title reign since 2021.

In the over three years since the two have challenged for the tag belts on several occasions, teased a breakup on occasion, and have been lost in the shuffle of the tag team roster. In 2023, they formed a faction alongside Bobby Lashley called ‘The Pride’, but then Lashley got released.

Now on the Blue Brand, Ford and Dawkins have a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships. They competed in the ladder match for the titles at WrestleMania 40 but lost to A-Town Down Under. Since then, the belts have been won by DIY, then by the new Bloodline. Currently, the championships lie on the shoulders of WWE’s latest big-name signing, the Motor City Machine Guns (MCMG), the duo of Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin.

On last week’s episode of SmackDown, the Street Profits confirmed a match with MCMG for the tag titles. Following the broadcast of the episode, WWE released a digital exclusive video on their social media. The video showed the Profits addressing their upcoming match.

To street profits tease break up on smackdown, In an impassioned promo, Montez Ford talked about Bobby Lashley leaving the faction and the company (not in direct words), discussed them not winning any titles in almost four years, and how this week will be “championship or bust,” a phrase that might hint at a potential breakup of the team.

“Four years, a drought. No WWE Tag Team Championships, not in the conversation of everybody. For us to walk around and happy and still putting smiles on everybody’s faces, walking around like everything’s okay when everything is not okay. Next week, it changes. We stamp ourselves again. We put ourselves in every single conversation.”

“That’s on everything. That’s on mama, that’s on the hood, that’s on the world, on god. We taking home the gold. That’s how confident we are right now. That’s how serious we are right now. Next week is WWE Tag Team Championships or bust. That’s it. There’s no other option. There’s no plan B. Plan A, that’s it,” he continued.

For years now, Ford has been seen as a future main eventer by the fans. So if a breakup comes, WWE might be looking at Montez, who is married to Bianca Belair, as their next singles superstar. Meanwhile, Angelo Dawkins has emerged as a fantastic talent too, who might be a solid mid-carder if the team ever breaks up.
