The all-rounders’ pool is good with both experienced and younger players like Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Azmatullah Omarzai and Musheer Khan, Suryansh Shedge, and Cooper Connolly.

Weaknesses:
There is no proper wicketkeeper-backup. PBKS released Josh Inglis but did not get a substitution at the IPL 2026 auction. Prabhsimran Singh is the only keeper on whom the team can rely; Vishnu Vinod is the only alternative.
A spin department is the PBKS team’s weakness which is relatively thin compared to the rest of the squad. Yuzvendra Chahal will again bear the bulk of the responsibility with Harpreet Brar sometimes. Pravin Dubey who was brought back as Yuzi’s backup and Copper Connolly are mostly untested with the ball at this level which can be a point of concern when the season starts while Vishal Ninad was a domestic scouting pick.
