Strict rules in 'Coldplay' concert, children not allowed on stage

Children will not be able to participate on the stage during the upcoming concert of British band 'Coldplay' in Navi Mumbai. The Thane district administration has issued a notice to the organizers and directed that children will not be allowed to participate in the program 'on the stage in any form'.

Additionally, no child will be allowed to watch the program without 'earplugs' or ear protection devices, the notice sent to the program organizers by the District Child Protection Officer said.

As part of its 'Music of the Spheres World Tour' series, the 'British band' is scheduled to hold three concerts on January 18, 19 and 21 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai area.

The Thane district administration on January 14 issued a notice to the concert organisers, Coldplay's Chris Martin and ticket booking partner BookMyShow, after a Chandigarh man lodged a complaint raising concerns about the safety of children during the event. .

The notice warned organizers and Martin not to 'use children on stage in any form', saying such events could pose a risk to children's health due to sound levels exceeding 120 decibels and flashing lights.
It says, “No child should be allowed to enter the concert without 'earplugs' or ear protection equipment.”

The District Child Protection Officer said that if the event organizers failed to follow the instructions given in the notices, strict action would be taken.
