Strong CC road will be built on Khanipur underpass of Gorakhpur Khajni, traffic diverted till 3rd August*

Gorakhpur. Naushad-Due to the reconstruction of the underpass and CC road construction work at village Khanipur of Gida police station area on the Khajani-Sikriganj road, traffic will be diverted on this route from July 25 to August 3, 2026. The Public Works Department (PWD) has implemented this system to complete the construction work in a safe and timely manner.

According to PWD, Khanipur underpass used to get damaged frequently due to rainy season and constant movement of heavy vehicles. Due to bad roads, drivers had to face problems in transportation. Now CC road is being constructed on the underpass, so that this route will remain safe, strong and accessible in every season.

The construction work is being done by the executive agency under the direction of Executive Engineer, Gorakhpur Circle, Public Works Department. During this period, vehicular traffic between Jaitpur and Nausar will remain diverted, so that the construction work can be completed without any hindrance.

The administration has appealed to the drivers to follow the prescribed diversion route, follow traffic rules and choose an alternative route before travelling. Officials say that after the completion of the construction work, the problem of waterlogging and road damage on this route will be eliminated to a great extent and the people of the area will get better and safe transportation facilities.
