Strong earthquake tremors in North India including Delhi-NCR, Hindukush region of Afghanistan was the epicenter of the earthquake.
New Delhi, June 27. Strong earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of North India including the national capital Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR) and Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening. According to the National Geological Survey of India, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 215 kilometers from the Earth’s surface in Hindukush, Afghanistan. Its intensity has been measured at 6.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that people sitting in homes and offices ran outside. However, there is no news of loss of life or property.

The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.2 on the Richter scale.
According to the National Geological Survey of India, the epicenter of this earthquake, which occurred at 7.04 pm on Saturday, was much deeper than the earth’s surface. Its shocks were felt in many countries. Apart from Afghanistan, its impact was seen in Pakistan, India, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Apart from Delhi, strong earthquake tremors were also felt in some other states of North India including Jammu and Kashmir.
According to experts, the deeper the epicenter of the earthquake, the more widely its impact is seen. However, the chances of causing harm are less. On social media, people are talking about feeling tremors in many parts of India including Delhi and Srinagar.
Earthquake 5 times in Balochistan province of Pakistan
Earlier, at least five earthquakes of moderate intensity have occurred in Pakistan’s Balochistan province since Friday. Barkhan and surrounding areas were affected by the earthquake that occurred on Saturday morning.
According to officials, five people have been injured and some houses have been damaged in these earthquakes measuring 4.3 to 5.2 on the Richter scale. Amir Haider Leghari, chief meteorologist of Pakistan Meteorological Department, said that these earthquakes occurred on a fault line and it is possible that they are related to major earthquakes in different parts of the world.
920 people dead so far in Venezuela earthquake tragedy
On the other hand, due to two devastating earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude that occurred in Venezuela in the early hours of June 25, 920 people have died and about five thousand people are injured. More than 51,000 people are reported missing. The earthquake has caused massive damage. Many countries of the world, including India and America, have extended their helping hands to Venezuela and sent medical and relief material.
