Strong public awareness campaign of Sonbhadra Police under Mission Shakti 5.0 (Second Phase)

Giving top priority to the safety, respect and empowerment of women and girls in Sonbhadra district, a comprehensive public awareness campaign is being conducted by Sonbhadra Police under the second phase of Mission Shakti 5.0.

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma, various sections of the society are being made aware by organizing various programs in all the police station areas of the district. Under the campaign, special awareness was created on important social issues related to women and children like gender ratio, gender equality, child marriage, sexual exploitation, violence against women and children, literacy and health.

In this sequence, by organizing dialogue and awareness programs in schools, colleges, coaching institutes, markets and gram sabhas, women and girls were provided information about good touch-bad touch, self-defense measures, legal provisions related to harassment of women and various helpline services. Also, in view of the increasing cyber crimes in the present times, a special awareness campaign was also conducted regarding online fraud, fake calls/links, misuse of social media, banking fraud and not sharing OTP, so that the common man can be kept safe from cyber fraud.
