Struggling journey from zero to peak: Inspirational success story of security guard turned therapist Dr. Kiran Shinde

The life of Dr. Kiran Shinde, who had the courage to fight the situation instead of breaking down in adverse circumstances, is a living example of struggle, sacrifice and indomitable will.

Dr. Kiran Shinde was born on 5 September 1980 in a middle-class family in Ekalahare village of Nashik district. His father Trimbak Ramji Shinde was employed at Ekalahare Power House of Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). Mother Hirabai Shinde strongly took care of the family even with limited resources and imparted the values ​​of honesty, hard work and simplicity to the children. A large family and limited income taught Kiran the importance of struggle at an early age.

In school life, Kiran was an average student in studies. He was afraid of studies and even passing class 10th was a challenge. Despite this, he did not give up and passed 10th with 48 percent marks. After this he took admission in ITI and scored 69 percent marks there. Along with studies, he also did farming and labor work, which gave him a deep understanding of practical life.

When Kiran was trying to shape his future, his father suddenly passed away. The financial condition of the family completely collapsed. The situation was so bad that there was no money even for the last rites. He fulfilled this responsibility by borrowing from friends. From that very day, the responsibility of the entire family – mother, sisters and brother – fell on Kiran.

Kiran did not consider any task small to support the family. He worked as a farm labourer, maid and later as a security guard. He did not have a bike, so he used to go to duty by bicycle for 30 to 60 kilometers every day. Bright sun, cold or rain – no circumstances could stop his hard work.

In the year 2010, he got married to Jyoti Anand Khalkar of Chathori village of Niphad taluka. His wife supported him in every situation and managed the house even with low income. During this time, the thought developed in Kiran’s mind that instead of working for others all his life, he wanted to create his own identity in the society.

While working in security, he became aware of natural and drug-free treatment methods. They Acupressure, Cupping Therapy and Chiropractic Decided to do an in-depth study. Despite financial constraints, he completed his training by mortgaging his wife’s jewellery. Job during the day and studies at night – this struggle finally paid off.

In the year 2019 in Khed Rajgurunagar of Pune district. Sadguru Medical Treatment Center Started. The initial phase was difficult, but the number of patients getting relief from the treatment increased. Today 30–40 patients come to his center for treatment every day. Not only from Maharashtra, people from other states also come to him for treatment.

Even today, Dr. Kiran Shinde has not forgotten his days of struggle. They charge nominal fees from poor and needy patients and sometimes even provide free treatment. He believes that no person should be deprived of treatment due to lack of money. Wife Jyoti helps in running the clinic and their son Suraj is also learning the values ​​of service and sensitivity.

Today, Dr. Kiran Shinde, apart from being a successful therapist, is an inspiration for thousands of youth. The same person who never had money for his father’s last rites is living a respectable life today and serving the society.
