Hyderabad: The blockbuster film Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has sparked controversy despite its massive success, with box office earnings approaching the 200 crore mark.

A Chennai-based engineering student, V.V. Vaageesan, has issued a legal notice demanding ₹1.1 crore in compensation after the filmmakers allegedly used his mobile number as Sai Pallavi’s in the movie.


Adding his number to the film has led to calls galore from Sai Pallavi fans in Vaageesan’s life and peace.

Though he took to social media and tagged Sivakarthikeyan and director Rajkumar Periasamy, it was met with silence. Now, Vaageesan is prepared to take court action against the filmmakers.
