Sub Junior Women's National Championship: Five teams including Hockey Jharkhand registered victory
Secunderabad, 28 November (Hindustan Reporter). On the third day of the 14th Hockey India Sub Junior Women's National Championship 2024, several matches were played at the South Central Railway Sports Complex, RRC Ground, Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad, Telangana on Thursday. In these matches, Hockey Jharkhand, Hockey Association of Odisha, Hockey Uttarakhand, Hockey Karnataka and Hockey Andhra Pradesh emerged victorious today.
In Pool B, Hockey Jharkhand defeated Chhattisgarh Hockey 5-0. Jamuna Kumari scored a brilliant hat-trick by scoring three goals (8th, 37th, 50th minute) and Hemrom Phulmani scored two goals (23rd, 41st minute). Hockey Uttarakhand won Pool D by defeating Hockey Rajasthan 3-1. Raine Kahkasha Ali (9th, 37th minute) and Vansi (50th minute) scored two goals for Hockey Uttarakhand. The only goal for Hockey Rajasthan came thanks to Guddi (36th minute).
In Pool H, Hockey Andhra Pradesh defeated Hockey Bengal by the score of 6-1. Nandini Munipalli Naga (22nd minute, 43rd minute) scored two goals and Lakshmi Pariki (15th minute), Teja Chilluru Naga (38th minute), Captain Kuppa Thulasi (46th minute) and Ragula Nagamari (60th minute) also scored. Shrestha Chatterjee (43rd minute) scored a goal for Hockey Bengal.
In Pool G, Hockey Punjab and Hockey Gujarat achieved parity by ending the match at 2-2. Sanjana Dosabhai Nandania (8th minute) and Jadeja Bhawanba (23rd minute) scored goals for Hockey Gujarat. Hockey Punjab made a strong comeback with goals from Kaur Khushveer (25th minute) and Kaur Taranveer (58th minute) helping their team draw level. In the match between Hockey Himachal and Hockey Association of Odisha in Pool C, Hockey Association of Odisha won 5-0. Similarly, in Pool F, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir had to play a match with Hockey Karnataka, but due to Hockey Jammu losing the match, Hockey Karnataka won 5-0.
