Subhashree Ganguly stuck in Dubai with son, husband gives update; Actress’s call for help
The effects of rising tensions in West Asia are now clearly visible to everyone from common travelers to Indian film industry personalities. Due to the deteriorating security situation in the region and temporary air restrictions, several international flights have been cancelled, leaving a large number of Indian nationals stranded abroad. Bengali actress Shubhashree Ganguly is also facing a similar situation. She is stuck in Dubai with her son Yuvan and cannot return to India.
According to reports, Shubhashree had gone to Dubai during her son Yuvan’s school holidays, but the sudden rise in tension in the region disrupted flight services. Her husband, filmmaker Raj Chakraborty, said that mother and son are completely safe and are following instructions given by local authorities. As a precaution, UAE authorities have advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
The impact of this crisis is not limited to Shubhashree. Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan is also stuck in Dubai due to flight cancellation. She appealed to the Government of India for help through social media, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In her message, she explained that flights have been canceled and there are no clear options to return to India.
