Why did Subodh Bhave stay away from Hindi films?
In an exclusive conversation, ace actor Subodh Bhave talks about his love for cinema and playing important characters. He made his Hindi film debut in Aiyya with Rani Mukherjee. But since then, his films have lacked the big budget Hindi films starring big B-town stars. When he was asked the reason for staying away from Hindi cinema, the actor said, “I have to work only in Hindi cinema, this was not my intention.”
The Katiyar Kaljat Ghusali actor further said that he just wants to do good work. So, if he gets good roles with respect and dignity, he will do it regardless of the language. Having said this, he clarified, “I am not interested in becoming the brother of any hero or heroine.”
Further in the interview, the artist said that since he is working in regional cinema, he does not want to do small roles in Hindi films. In Marathi cinema, he is being offered many important roles. Therefore, it is not right for him to leave all that and just do small roles in Hindi cinema. Bhave said, “I know that I am a good actor and can do the best work among them.”
