Success of Delhi Police, 4 terrorists arrested from 3 states, the plan of terrorists was terrible!

New Delhi: During an intelligence and joint operation, the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday (April 18, 2026) arrested four radical terrorists from Maharashtra, Odisha and Bihar. These people were associated with a terror module that took inspiration from extremist ideology and online radicalization networks in India. These four people were also preparing for Ghazwa-e-Hind.

What was the plan of the 4 terrorists?

According to media reports, investigators related to this case revealed that all of them were inspired by the ideology of Khilafat i.e. Islamic nation. Some of these members were reportedly involved in small-scale gathering of materials to make IEDs, while others focused on recruitment, training schemes and propaganda.

It is believed that one of the accused had also conducted recce of sensitive places including Red Fort and India Gate in Delhi during December 2025. Police also said that these people were trying to radicalize others through encrypted digital platforms. Delhi Police has also recovered mobile phones and digital devices from these alleged terrorists.

Identification of the four suspects

Let us tell you that the accused arrested by Delhi Police have been identified as Musa Ahmed alias Sonu alias Kalam from Thane, Mohammad Hammad from Mumbai, Sheikh Imran from Bhubaneswar and Mohammad Sohail from Katihar, Bihar. Police officials said that this module worked through closed encrypted social media groups.

Where violent extremism, recruitment and fund raising were allegedly discussed. The accused are also accused of trying to do crowd-funding through QR codes and bank accounts in the name of ideological activities. During interrogation, police said the accused were found to be influenced by a mix of online ideological material and sermons from several religious speakers, including Zakir Naik.

Investigators are examining this as part of a broader radicalization pathway assessment. Officials said the module was still in its initial stages, but it indicated coordination among states with an intention to expand their network. Further investigation is underway to trace the financial transactions, digital contacts and possible external links associated with this group.
