Successful organization of Industry 4.0 Start-ups Display Day by GCCI
Ahmedabad, July 8, 2026 – Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) by “Industry 4.0 Start-ups Display Day”Was planned. Subsequently, a special expert session was organized on the topic “Collaborative efforts of government, industry, educational institutions and startups to promote Industry 4.0”. This important program was organized on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at GCCI, Ahmedabad.
The objective of this initiative was to accelerate the widespread implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies and strengthen Gujarat’s manufacturing ecosystem by bringing together policy makers, industry leaders, academic institutions and technology-based startups on a single platform.
In the display day, a total of 43 Industry 4.0 startups showcased innovative technology-based solutions keeping in mind the changing needs of the manufacturing sector. These startups presented Artificial Intelligence (AI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), robotics, automation, smart manufacturing, digital twin, predictive maintenance, industrial software, data analytics and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
During the visit to the Industry 4.0 Startups Display Day, GCCI President Mr. Sandeep Engineer, Vice President Mr. Apoorva Shah and Honorary Treasurer Mr. Gaurang Bhagat interacted with the startups present and praised their innovative and advanced solutions that are giving a new direction to the future of the manufacturing sector.
The expert session held from 6:30 to 7:30 pm was moderated by Shri Amit G. Parikh, Chairman, GCCI Startup Taskforce. In this session, leading experts from government, academia, industry and technology sector presented their views on the role of various stakeholders in accelerating the implementation of Industry 4.0 in Gujarat.
The program started with the welcome address of GCCI Vice President Mr. Apurva Shah. Welcoming the dignitaries present, he expressed GCCI’s commitment to promote innovation, development of startup ecosystem and smart manufacturing.

Shri R.D. Barhat, Joint Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, presented the Government’s vision for the development of Gujarat’s manufacturing sector and provided guidance on policies, incentives and support available to MSMEs to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies.
Dr. representing the educational sector. Rajul K. Gajjar, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University stressed the importance of industry-academic collaboration, skill development and research to prepare the future workforce for smart manufacturing.
Shri Chandan Chaudhary, Deputy Director, National Productivity Council presented practical strategies for implementation of Industry 4.0, productivity enhancement, operational excellence and digital transformation for MSMEs.
Representing the industry, Mr. Shailesh Patel, Chairman, GCCI Plastics Taskforce and Chairman, GCCI MSME Taskforce presented a case study of improvement in efficiency, productivity and competitiveness in the manufacturing sector through the use of digital technology.
In the final technical session of the program, guidance was given by Mr. Amit Saluja, Advisor – Industry 4.0 on the topic “From Awareness to Action: Industry 4.0 for MSMEs”, in which detailed information was given about the practical implementation of Industry 4.0 for MSMEs.
