Such a road built in Mumbai where the tune of ‘Jai Ho’ song will be played by the rubbing of tires
Driving on Mumbai’s Coastal Road is going to be not just a journey but a musical experience. Recently, India’s first ‘Musical Stretch’ has been started on this road, on which when you drive, you will hear the famous song ‘Jai Ho’ from the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. This technical marvel has been done by the Hungarian experts who have prepared this road. This is the first experiment of its kind in India.
There is no loudspeaker behind the music playing on this road, rather it is a complete engineering marvel. For this, special stripes or grooves have been made on the road surface. When the tires of the vehicle pass over these grooves, the vibration created by the rubbing of the tire and the road gives rise to the tune of the song ‘Jai Ho’. The interesting thing is that this tune will be heard clearly inside the car even with the windows closed.

keep an eye on the speed
Only if you drive at a speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour, you will hear this song clearly and in perfect pitch. If the speed is too low or too high, the tune may sound a bit distorted. This technology also encourages drivers to drive within a specified speed limit.

What is the special thing?
This unique project has been inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on 11 February 2026. The government says that in future such musical stretch can be extended to Bandra and apart from ‘Jai Ho’, tunes of other songs can also be included in it.
