Sudden visit of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, took stock of the infrastructure of School of Eminence, Patiala.
Punjab Education: Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains paid a surprise visit to the School of Eminence located at Bhadas in Patiala district this morning, highlighting the strong commitment of the Bhagwant Mann government to strengthen education in government schools under the ongoing ‘Punjab Education Revolution’. During the visit, the Education Minister took stock of the ongoing infrastructure development works and interacted directly with the students to evaluate the quality of education and facilities being provided.

While undertaking an extensive tour of the school, Harjot Singh Bains took detailed stock of the progress of the works related to upgrading the infrastructure. He also interacted with students to get feedback about the quality and facilities of education in schools.

Bains also reviewed the construction of an ultra-modern Indoor Sports Complex being built in this school at a cost of Rs 90 lakh, which has a seating capacity of 2,000 people along with two Kabaddi mats and one wrestling mat. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Mann is focusing on education to make the youth healthy both mentally and physically.

Harjot Singh Bains said, “Education is the priority of the Bhagwant Mann government. Our ‘Schools of Eminence’ are not just buildings; it is the foundation of future leaders and professionals. The increase in enrollment of students from private schools in government schools is a direct testimony to our policies and the standard education being provided. There is no dearth of funds for education. Investing in our students is directly equivalent to investing in the future of Punjab and the country,” said the Education Minister.
Students taking advantage of transport facilities
School Principal Preetinder Ghai told the Education Minister that this academic year there has been an 11 percent increase in school enrollments and more than 200 students have come from private schools, which shows the growing confidence of parents in the government education system. He said that more than 400 students are availing the transport facilities through six school buses, which shows the growing reputation of the school as a center of excellence.
