New Delhi, 12 April 2026: India’s Sujit Kalkal and Abhimanyu Mandwale won gold medals yesterday in the Asian Wrestling Championship held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Sujite had defeated Uzbekistan’s Umidjon Jalolov 8-1 in the 65 kg freestyle category. Abhimanyu Mandwale had defeated Mongolia’s Olympian Tomor-Ochirin Tulga 5-3 in the 70 kg category. India’s medal count has now reached 14, which includes two gold and four silver medals.
Aman Sehrawat has reached the finals of 61 kg category. Now he will face Korea’s Kwang Myung Kim. Mukul Dahiya will challenge Iran’s Kamran Ghasempur for the gold medal in 86 kg category.
