Jamshedpur: A meeting of Ranchi and Chakradharpur Divisional Railway Committee of South Eastern Railway Zone was organized. In this meeting, MPs studying under both the divisions were invited. Along with this, the General Manager of South Eastern Railway Zone, DRM of Ranchi and Chakradharpur and many railway department officials were present. Lohardaga MP demanded to run a new train from Ranchi to Ayodhya via Banaras via Lohardaga.

Demand to run train from Ranchi to Ayodhya

Lohardaga MP Sukhdev Bhagat was welcomed by Anil Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway Zone, with a shawl and memento. In the meeting, MP Sukhdev Bhagat put forth several demands of Lohardaga parliamentary constituency and demanded its solution as soon as possible. The MP demanded construction of a new railway line from Ranchi to Gumla Korba via Lohardaga and from Ranchi to Gumla Bano railway station via Lohardaga, construction of a double railway line from Ranchi to Tori Bhaya Lohardaga, maintaining traffic at Itki railway station as before, and construction of a railway line from Ranchi to Delhi. Demanded to run the Garib Rath via Lohardaga once a week.

Demand for stoppage of Ranchi-Sasaram Express

Sukhedav Bhagat said that the Ranchi Sasaram Express train should be stopped at Nagjua station, (earlier the train used to stop at Nagjua station during the Corona period) from here passengers from three assembly and three districts arrive, the memo train going from Ranchi to Lohardaga at night. Stoppage of train at Akashi station, increase of three bogies in Lohardaga Ranchi Memo train, increase of four bogies in Ranchi Sasaram Express, increase of four bogies in Ranchi station. Lohardaga gate should be opened because it was closed during the Corona period, Jharkhand Swarnjayanti Express should run to Lohardaga once a week, Sambalpur Banaras Express should run to Lohardaga, Ranchi Sasaram Intercity train should run till Mughalsarai station, Ranchi LTT should run during Lohardaga week. It should be operated for one day, Sambalpur Jammu Tawi train should be stopped at Pokla station, Sambalpur train should be stopped at Pokla station. Gorakhpur Express and Dhanbad Alappuzha Express should be stopped, Chopan Express and Lohardaga should be operated daily, demanded to run a new train from Ranchi to Ajmer via Lohardaga.
