Sukhoi-30 missing after accident in Assam! What did the local people tell?
A Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed late Thursday night in Karbi Anglong district of Assam. The Air Force said that shortly after taking off from Jorhat airport, the aircraft lost radar contact while passing over Karbi Anglong district. This plane fell in Karbi, about 60 kilometers from Jorhat.
After this major accident, search and rescue operations were started. However, information about the reasons for the accident has not been revealed yet. Giving information, the Defense Ministry has said that the aircraft had taken off from Jorhat Airport in Assam and was last in contact with the radar at 7:42 pm. A search operation has been started to locate this fighter aircraft of Russian origin.

The Public Relations Officer of the Defense Ministry said that no information was immediately received about the pilot. Meanwhile, Karbi Anglong district administration said some local residents of Chokihola area of Bokajan subdivision claimed that the plane crashed in a forest area. After this, some local people reached the spot and shared some pictures of the plane crash on social media.

Through the eyes of local residents
At the same time, local residents, while talking to the media after the Sukhoi crash, said that they saw a fighter plane in the evening. The plane suddenly started descending from above. After this we heard a loud noise and an explosion. After the explosion there was a massive fire. The accident site will be 5KM away from us. Police from Chowkiwala police station is here. They are searching for the plane with a helicopter. There is no trace of the pilot. The authorities have not found anything yet.
According to initial information, the area where the Sukhoi-30 crashed is surrounded by hills and forests. The exact location of the accident is not yet known. The Air Force will release detailed information. Officials also said that five ambulances from the Air Force Hospital located in Jorhat have left for Karbi Anglong.
