Sumedh Mudgalkar Opens Up On Recent Injury: ‘Nose Started Bleeding’
Sumedh Mudgalkar recently opened up about an unfortunate accident that occurred just days before his birthday and Diwali celebrations. While filming an action sequence on October 30, Sumedh injured his nose, resulting in a fracture. Despite the pain, he remains philosophical about the incident, attributing it to bad luck rather than any fault. “Sometimes things just happen, and you can’t control them,” he shared.
The actor, who was preparing to visit his hometown Pune for Diwali, explained that after completing several takes for the scene, his desire for one more shot led to the injury. “I thought it was just a minor injury at first,” he recalled. “But when we went to the hospital and did an X-ray, we discovered it was a fracture.” Despite the severity of the injury, Sumedh maintained a positive attitude. “Everyone was stressed, so I started cracking jokes to lighten the mood,” he said, emphasizing the importance of staying upbeat in such situations.
As an actor, Sumedh understands the significance of his appearance, especially his face, but he chose not to dwell on the injury. “I did have some concerns at first, but I quickly realized that these things are beyond my control,” he said. He was fortunate to receive immediate treatment, and the doctor reassured him that the fracture was not severe and could be repaired.
After being hospitalized for two days and undergoing surgery, Sumedh was advised to take six weeks off to recover. While he initially hesitated to share the news, he was touched by the outpouring of concern from his fans and loved ones. “I didn’t know how people would react, but the support I received made me feel better,” he admitted.
Now recovering at home in Pune, Sumedh is making the most of his time with family. “I see everything as happening for a reason,” he said. “I’m spending quality time with my parents and close ones, and I’m grateful for that.” Rather than focusing on what he’s missed, Sumedh is taking this break as an opportunity to relax and recharge, viewing it all through a positive lens. “I’m glad it happened while I was working and giving my best,” he concluded.
