- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 ½ cups ripe mango pieces
- 2 tablespoons of mango juice
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 10 cashew nuts
- 10 almonds (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 3 green cardamoms
- A few strands of saffron (soaked in warm milk)
- 2 tbsp jaggery powder or sugar (optional)
- 2 cups of water

- Wash basmati rice and soak it in water for some time. Then cook the rice.
- Take care to keep the rice grains open and allow the cooked rice to cool.
- Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews, almonds and raisins until light golden in color.
- Now add milk mixed with cardamom and saffron. Cook while stirring for a few seconds, so that the aroma opens up nicely.
