Ingredients required to make Rice Palak Pakora

– Leftover rice – 1 cup
– Spinach (chopped) – 1 cup
– Gram flour – 1/2 cup
– Rice flour – 2 tbsp
– Green chilli (finely chopped) – 2-3
– Ginger (grated) – 1/2 tsp
– Onion (finely chopped) – 1 medium
– Cumin – 1/2 tsp
– Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
– Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
– Baking soda – 1 pinch (optional)
– Salt – as per taste
– Oil – for frying

How to make Rice Palak Pakora

To make Rice Palak Pakora, first take rice in a big vessel. Add chopped spinach, gram flour, rice flour, onion, green chilli, ginger, cumin, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, baking soda (optional), and salt. Prepare a thick and uniform pakoda mixture by adding water little by little.

Heat oil in a pan. The oil should be medium hot so that the pakodas get cooked from inside and become crunchy from outside. Take small portions from the prepared mixture and drop them into hot oil. Fry the pakodas on low-medium flame until they become golden and crisp. Drain the fried pakodas on tissue paper to remove excess oil. Serve Rice Palak Pakoda with hot green chutney, tomato sauce, or tamarind chutney.
