Sunny Deol Batwara 1947:An emotional moment was seen at the trailer launch event of the upcoming film ‘Bantwara 1947’, which made everyone present there emotional. On stage, director Rajkumar Santoshi, remembering late actor Dharmendra, said that ‘Partition 1947’ was the last film he saw. On hearing this, actor Sunny Deol became emotional remembering his father and his eyes became moist.
Rajkumar Santoshi narrated a special story related to Dharmendra
During the event, Rajkumar Santoshi told that when he narrated the story of the film to Dharmendra, he became very emotional. He said-“Dharam ji has given a lot of blessings for this film. When he heard the narration of the film, he was very emotional. He had tears in his eyes and gave many blessings. I think the last film Dharam ji saw was Batwara 1947. Even then he said, ‘Raj, this picture will do well. You guys have done a very good job.”

Sunny Deol could not control his emotions
As soon as Rajkumar Santoshi mentioned Dharmendra’s memories, Sunny Deol looked emotional on the stage. He listened to the director quietly and his eyes filled with tears remembering his father. This emotional moment made everyone present at the program emotional.
Aamir Khan also made a special revelation
Earlier during a program, Aamir Khan had also told that he was happy that Dharmendra was able to watch ‘Partition 1947’ before its release. Aamir had said that this story was one of Dharmendra’s favorite scripts and after watching the film, he had praised it a lot.
The film will be released in theaters on August 14.
Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, ‘Partition 1947’ is an emotional story based on the backdrop of the Partition of India. Along with Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh will also be seen in important roles in the film.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, while the music is composed by A.R. Rahman and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. ‘Partition 1947’ will be released in theaters worldwide on 14 August 2026.
